Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.
This is a great way to welcome a new vehicle owner.
Aesthetics
Bentley is a brand that takes its aesthetics very seriously. This is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting as well as the use of leather derived from products of cattle, the wood from sustainably-managed forests, and the ingenuous patterns of its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance included the largest piece ever of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

A century after its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of fighting with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in the year 2019. The marque planned a variety of special occasions and launches to mark the historic occasion before the planning of a pandemic became a priority.
Design
Bentley is known as a luxury car manufacturer that produces lavish and extravagant cars. But even the keys are an oath. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver. It features an enormous 'B' design that let everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. The key is also inscribed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.
Bentley Mulliner reinvented and designed the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It comes with two pairs of rear seats inspired by the luxury of private aviation offering passengers unbeatable comfort and privacy. The custom heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was created to provide each passenger with the ideal temperature control.
The Mulsanne comes with a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredible power is complemented by a brand new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned quiet ride.
In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a unique specification called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. The cabin features cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests seats, the interior and other areas of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. The Centenary Specification also includes a bespoke Bentley keycase, completing the Bentley experience.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and another that turns on the vehicle. It also has a button to switch on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parked in a tight space. This feature helps you get into and out of your car.
Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched to seal, and polished to produce a premium result. It is light and compact and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's huge car key, but it feels more substantial and luxurious.
bentley keys is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys without keypads. The device is inserted into the remote control fob and disables it in the event that the key isn't used for a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can be used to unlock and start the car.
Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values which include exquisite craftsmanship engineering expertise, as well as cutting-edge technology. Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own vehicle. Customers sit at a set of images called "mood stations" and pick a collection of photos ranging from picturesque landscapes to sporting events that are inspiring to them. Every time a choice is made, the pattern that emerges is the model colors, style and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.
The guests receive a key case made by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps, which illuminate the path of the door opening with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.
Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to adopt the latest technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spaces, drivers have to perform the task by hand.
Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization abilities with a unique Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include the key, which displays a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
